READY FOR THE JOURNEY?

Join the Adventure

The first step in any journey is making sure you have the correct people! I want everyone at the table having a great time and here for the right reasons.  Please fill out the questionnaire below so I can get to know you and ensure everyone will have the best experience. I do try and keep our table to 4-5 players since anything more becomes challenging to balance and pace.  More campaigns may come together over time and one-shots happen regularly. If you are interested please fill out the form further down on this page.

Some personal disclaimers:

We agree to accept all people at the table.  A social contract must exist that we build each other up and never tear anyone down.  There will be moments of greatness, awkwardness, and maybe even vulnerability.  We are all here to play a game and have fun so I ask if you will be joining us, you keep an open and kind mind.

We agree to be respectful regardless of where we are.  Whether in a public space, a private store, or my home: we remain respectful.  We leave no trace, we are kind to pets which may inhabit areas (and don't let them out!), we do not take anything illegal to the play area, and smoking/vaping must be done outside.  Use alcohol responsibly if you do.

A fair warning: we may have new players, and we may have seasoned players, but we generally play loose with the rules and are very liberal with the "rule of cool".

Don't argue with the DM at the table or litigate rules.  Let me know if something seems off, we may just play through it and chat afterward.  If I make a mistake, just enjoy the ride!

The only time a natural 20 guarantees success, and a 1 guarantees failure, is in combat.  You can still fail with a natural 20 skill check (or pass with a 1!).

When you want to do something, don't say you're making a roll, tell me what you want to do and how you want to do it.  We will figure out if we need to throw math rocks.

Try your best to stay attentive and stay in character.  If you're talking, I assume it is in character.  Phones down, no doom scrolling, try and not have a lot of out-of-game cross talk.  This just makes it easier for me to curate the game for you.

I make some use of AI to expedite things like art generation and cleaning up session notes.  I still support local artists when possible and purchase from game shops whenever possible!

I never and will never charge for DMing.  If you want to compensate me, just give me feedback (good and bad!) so I can do better and continue the experience.

More to come!

RPG Player Comfort Survey

The following link is for a Role Playing Comfort Checklist. Most of these elements are not things I have in the campaign already but sometimes players may introduce them or some form of them may exist in the world. Although you are under no obligation to submit this form, it will help me not only build a world where all players can have fun, but also allows me to prevent players from introducing elements others may not want to take part in. We will not share specifics of any form between players, the DM may provide a list of topics which are off-limits and/or will ensure those topics do not enter into play. You may submit this to me via email or may bring it to session zero (when we all meet) and you can leave your name(s) off of the form if you prefer.
