Everything you wanted to know about joining the table!
Why do you screen players?
The most important thing for a great game is great people! It is more about making sure that all our players mesh well so they can make the most of our time together. This also helps me determine the type of game we will be playing (serious vs funny, amount of combat, and the specific content tailored to ensure nobody is uncomfortable) and how I can best use my skills to curate a positive experience!
What are you looking for in a player?
Looking for someone who fits the vibe of the group! And I also look for diversity. I like a well rounded table of people who are different but get along well and have different styles that can compliment each other.
What is not allowed at your table?
Well, without listing everything under the sun, any form of bigotry will not be tolerated at my table. All people are welcome who welcome all other people. But the table has always been and will always be zero tolerance for hate. (Note: this does not include in-game and lore specific issues which are kept within the game and not brought in from outside the game).
How much do I need to know? Bring with me?
That is up to you! In session 0 we will make characters for you and set you up on D&D Beyond if you do not already have an account (its free!). If you are a new player, I highly recommend joining at the start. Most of my campaigns for new players start at level 1 so you can learn the basics and grow with your character.
You can borrow anything you need during the sessions from dice to references. We also have a D&D Beyond campaign which allows me to share references with any involved for free. I can 3d print minis and can throw a quick paint on them for you as well.
Any House Rules? Things I should know?
See the section on house rules as they vary by campaign. Everything you will need to know will be put in the reference section. We will use this place as a blog as well, with session updates. Discord will also be a communication medium and will link it in here. Purely optional, but lets us keep the fun going between sessions!
